Job Description

Our senior living community, operated under the umbrella of The Pennant Group, Inc., is dedicated to providing exceptional healthcare services and quality living experiences for seniors across the United States. The Pennant Group, Inc. is a holding company managing independent subsidiaries that specialize in home health, hospice services, and senior living communities. Each community operates with its own management team, staff, and resources but shares in the collective mission of delivering compassionate care and fostering vibrant, supportive environments for residents and their families. In this senior living community, a commitment to values such as Celebration, Accountability, Passion for Learning, Loving One Another, Intelligent Risk Taking, Customer Second (Employee First), and Ownership guides everything we do. These CAPLICO Core Values not only shape our culture but also inspire our team to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the residents we serve.

We are currently seeking a Cook to join our dedicated team of professionals who share our values and passion for enhancing the daily lives of seniors. This role is an exciting opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in a collaborative environment and take pride in culinary excellence and service. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals that meet the nutritional and special dietary needs of our residents. Your work will directly impact our community's dining experience, ensuring each meal is both delicious and presented with care. The position requires a strong understanding of safe food handling and sanitation procedures, as well as the ability to follow recipes meticulously to provide consistency and satisfaction.

In this role, you will work closely with the Food Service Director to order, receive, and manage inventory, maintaining proper stock rotation to minimize waste and ensure freshness. The ability to "short order" cook is essential, as is the capacity to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Dependability, punctuality, and self-motivation are key attributes for success, as you will often work without constant supervision.

We offer a competitive pay range from $19.00 to $23.00 per hour, reflecting the importance of this role in our community. Beyond the monetary compensation, working here means joining a team that values learning, respect, and support, making it an ideal environment for personal and professional growth. If you possess or are willing to obtain Serv-Safe certification and have a minimum of one year of cooking experience, including quantity and short order cooking, we encourage you to apply. This is a rewarding position that combines culinary skills with community care, providing meals that nurture and delight our residents every day. Our community is an equal opportunity employer, welcoming qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, veteran status, or other protected characteristics.
