The Village of Heather Hills is currently seeking part-time Dietary Aides to join its dedicated team. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring that residents receive nutritious meals served in a safe, clean, and pleasant environment. Part-time Dietary Aides will be responsible for essential tasks that include setting up dining rooms, assisting with meal preparation, serving food and beverages, and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas. With pay ranging from $13 to $16 per hour based on experience, this role is open to candidates aged 16 and over who are motivated to contribute to the welfare of residents. Job Requirements

  • minimum of sixteen (16) years of age (must provide appropriate work documentation)
  • ability to lift fifty (50) pounds and move lifted items three (3) to four (4) feet
  • ability to stand for extended periods of time and bend, stoop and reach frequently
  • ability to read, write, and speak the English language fluently

  • knowledge of kitchen safety practices and accident prevention
  • knowledge of basic sanitation, food preparation, and the maintenance of kitchen and food service areas

Job Duties

  • work with coworkers in a team environment that promotes positive service qualities and respect of residents
  • assists coworkers in preparation of food in accordance with directions and standards
  • assists in tray assembly according to dietary requirements
  • serves food and drinks to residents
  • assists residents with food consumption when needed
  • removes dirty dishes from dining room and cleans tables/areas
