The hiring establishment for this role operates within the healthcare and residential care sector, specifically providing dietary services within a structured living environment. This company prioritizes the health and well-being of its residents by ensuring quality food preparation and service in compliance with state and federal health regulations. The company is committed to maintaining a clean and welcoming dining environment, serving nutritious meals, and supporting the dietary needs of its community with high standards of care and professionalism. The organization values teamwork, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and hygiene protocols to ensure the best possible dining experience for its residents.
The Dietary Aide position is an essential role within this organization, directly impacting the quality of life of the residents through food service. This position follows the direction of the Certified Dietary Manager and adheres closely to state guidelines to ensure that food is prepared safely, served efficiently, and that dining areas are maintained in a hygienic condition after meals. The Dietary Aide assists with food preparation and cooking, setting up and serving meals, and managing cleanup duties including dishwashing and sanitizing work areas. Physical demands are significant, with frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, standing, walking, and other activities required. The ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with the kitchen and care staff is essential. While no advanced education is strictly required, a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, along with experience in a commercial kitchen environment and possession of a Texas Food Handler Certificate. This employment opportunity suits individuals who are passionate about helping others, maintain a focus on cleanliness and safety, and enjoy contributing to a caring community environment.
