Job Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 25-50 pounds as needed
- Ability to work in hot, wet, and humid environments
- Manual dexterity to operate kitchen equipment and dishwashing machinery
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in food service, healthcare, or hospitality preferred but not required
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices or willingness to learn
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
Job Duties
- Assist with meal preparation, tray assembly, and food portioning as directed
- Deliver and collect meal trays in a timely and courteous manner
- Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and pans using proper sanitation procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen, dish room, and dining areas
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control guidelines
- Properly store food and supplies according to facility policies
- Dispose of trash and maintain waste areas in a sanitary condition
- Assist in receiving, stocking, and rotating food and supplies
- Interact respectfully with residents, staff, and visitors
- Report any concerns regarding food quality, safety, or resident needs to supervisor
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Dietary Manager or Supervisor
