Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in a commercial kitchen or dishwashing role preferred
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly
  • Reliable transportation to work
  • Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Basic understanding of health and safety regulations
  • Strong work ethic and ability to follow instructions
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

  • General knowledge of how to safely handle knives, hand tools, utensils and all standard commercial kitchen equipment

  • Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
  • Ability to communicate clearly with management and fellow associates
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds several times throughout their shift
  • Ability to work varied hours/days as dictated by business

Job Duties

  • Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glass, tableware and other cooking utensils both by hand and by utilizing dish washer
  • Sort and stack clean dishes
  • Carry clean dishes to cook's line and other proper storage areas
  • Rewash soiled dishes before delivering
  • Set up or break down dishwashing area while following sanitation guidelines
  • Mop, sweep, clean bathrooms, clean equipment and remove garbage
  • Assemble/disassemble dish machine
  • Communicate with coworkers and management to solve problems and improve quality and service
  • Maintain the dish room and dish machine in a sanitary and efficient manner
  • Clean fryers, braisers and flat top griddles as directed by management
  • Notify management any time the dish machine wash or rinse cycles fall below safety standard temperatures
  • Follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines while working in the kitchen and around food products
  • Adhere to all Company policies, procedures and practices
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
