Job Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Six months of related station, ramp, hub, or safety experience preferred
  • Experience with computer systems such as mainframe, PC, internet/intranet preferred
  • Related knowledge of shipping or processing dangerous goods packages strongly preferred
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Ability to maneuver packages with appropriate equipment or assistance
  • Ability to complete all basic and recurrency training for dangerous goods
  • Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs and communicate with traffic safety officials
  • Must complete all basic and recurrency training for spill clean-up if required
  • Must be able to read and understand manuals, regulations, charts and tables
  • Must effectively communicate verbally in a noisy operations environment
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record if required to drive company vehicles

Job Duties

  • Ensures safe and legal handling of dangerous goods including proper separation, palletizing and aircraft/truck loading
  • Ensures related dangerous goods paperwork is accurate, complete, and timely, including proper distribution to all necessary parties
  • Performs other duties as assigned
