We are currently seeking a Dewatering Area Manager to be based in the Southeastern United States. This newly created role is integral to the operational, project, and financial success of the dewatering division within the region. The Dewatering Area Manager will lead and develop a team of professionals dedicated to construction dewatering services, playing a critical role in business development, risk management, safety compliance, and quality assurance. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional with a background in geotechnical or construction-related industries to contribute strategically to Keller's growth while managing day-to-day operations.
In this role, the Dewatering Area Manager will be responsible for spearheading the area's construction dewatering team and aligning efforts with the Branch Business Plan to achieve strategic goals. They will gather and analyze market intelligence to expand Keller’s dewatering services within the Southeastern region, fostering strong relationships with customer decision makers. Oversight of dewatering projects and operational activities across the area will be a key function, ensuring that work is executed safely, efficiently, and meets contractual quality standards.
The Area Manager will also play a vital role in people management, providing guidance, coaching, and support to direct reports and managers within the area to maximize team performance and growth. Employee concerns and complaints will be addressed appropriately, with a focus on career development plans, promotions, and disciplinary actions where necessary. Safety and quality are paramount, and the Area Manager will ensure full compliance with Keller and OSHA safety requirements, as well as enforce stop work authority when issues arise. Additionally, the role involves active risk management to identify and mitigate potential hazards to the company.
This position offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $160,000 per year, with actual compensation determined based on experience, skills, job scope, and location. Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, geology or related field preferred
- 10+ years of geotechnical, construction or industry related experience preferred
- experience in the construction dewatering industry

Job Duties
- Lead the area construction dewatering team in accordance with the Branch Business Plan
- obtain accurate market knowledge to develop dewatering services in the region
- develop relationships with customer decision makers
- oversee dewatering projects and operations in the region
- support and evaluate business development actions
- provide guidance, direction, coaching, and support to direct reports
- address employee concerns and complaints appropriately
- ensure compliance with Keller and OSHA safety requirements
- ensure work is performed per contract quality requirements
- log all quality non-conformance issues and notify management
- exercise stop work authority for safety and quality issues
- comply with Keller risk management policies
- recognize and reduce major risks to the company
