The Food Bank for Central & Northeast Missouri is a vital regional disaster and hunger-relief organization that collaborates closely with community resources to distribute tens of millions of pounds of food annually to neighbors in need. The Development Coordinator position within the Food Bank for Central & Northeast Missouri is a crucial role tasked with supporting the goals and functions of the development team. As a key member of the development department, reporting directly to the Chief Development Officer, this role is hourly and benefit-eligible with a pay range of $18.50 to $20.00 per hour. The coordinator will work closely with both internal staff and external stakeholders to advance the organization’s fundraising efforts that ensure ongoing operational success and program delivery.

Responsibilities for the Development Coordinator include overseeing donor database management, coordinating special events, assisting with annual fundraising campaigns and food drives, and supporting giving societies. The role involves vital administrative duties geared toward facilitating donor engagement and maintaining meaningful relationships with supporters. This position is integral to the Food Bank’s ability to sustain and grow its network of donors and volunteers who collectively support hunger relief efforts.

Job Duties

  • Represent the development department and The Food Bank to supporters and donors through visits via all forms of communication (in person, phone, video, email, mail)
  • Assist the Donor Relations Manager with gift entry, portfolio maintenance and overall cross-training in the donor management system (Donor Perfect)
  • Assist with scheduling facility tours, presentations, committee meetings, tax credit tracking and donor appreciation events
  • Responsible for coordinating aspects of special events such as set up, auction preparation, registration etc
  • Manage the facilitation of the donor recognition giving societies
  • Work closely with other team members on annual fund campaigns and other annual food/fund drives
