Known for its commitment to clinical innovation, state-of-the-art facilities, advanced technologies, and cutting-edge research protocols, Cooper University Health Care stands as an exemplary employer in the healthcare sector. With a focus on continuous professional development and career growth, Cooper ensures that both full-time and part-time employees receive competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits packages, including health, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement plans. The organization fosters a work environment that values innovation, teamwork, and a genuine passion for improving patient outcomes while upholding the highest standards of healthcare excellence. Cooper University Health Care has earned a reputation as the employer of choice in the South Jersey region, attracting dedicated professionals who are committed to making a tangible difference in their communities through exceptional healthcare services.
The Fund Development role at Cooper University Health Care is integral to the institution's ongoing success in securing resources necessary for advancing its mission. This position requires an individual with a concentrated focus on research and identifying new revenue sources to support various healthcare initiatives. The role involves daily utilization of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems for recording and reporting donor and stewardship activities, as well as working within volunteer databases to encourage participation in community-facing events. The professional in this role will cultivate and maintain positive relationships with sponsors, donors, volunteers, and other stakeholders, playing a crucial part in securing donations and supporting event success for the House families. Additionally, the candidate will proactively develop new community connections, representing Cooper’s mission at local events and groups to broaden outreach and engagement.
Aside from fund development, this role encompasses communications, community relations, outreach, and awareness efforts. Exceptional writing skills are essential for crafting compelling donor appeals and engaging outreach materials. The individual will also recruit, interview, and oversee Teen Leadership Council members, facilitating and moderating committee meetings and overseeing annual fundraisers. Relationship management skills are critical, as the candidate must possess an aptitude for fostering positive interactions and comfortable solicitation of donations while maintaining confidentiality of donor information. This role demands a collaborative spirit, contributing positively to the team environment among staff and volunteers, and serves as a positive role model for council members.
To excel in this role, the candidate should have a minimum of three years of experience in the non-profit sector, hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, and demonstrate proficiency in CRM systems such as Salesforce, Virtuous, or Raisers Edge, as well as creative tools like Canva. Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends is required, with occasional travel within the Greater Philadelphia area. A valid US driver’s license is necessary for travel related to duties. The position offers a competitive salary range from $24.00 to $40.00 per hour, reflecting the importance of this role in supporting Cooper University Health Care’s mission to ensure equitable access to quality healthcare for all individuals.
