Job Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a degree program in communications, marketing, hospitality, business, nonprofit management, or related field
- Previous coursework or experience in fundraising, marketing, nonprofit management, or community outreach
- Ability to conduct outreach and follow-up with sponsors and community partners
- Responsible, hard-working, ethical, and mission-driven
- High organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to multitask effectively
- Reliable transportation for local travel
- Must sign a confidentiality statement
- Must clear a background check
- Must complete mandated reporter training
Job Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a degree program in communications, marketing, hospitality, business, nonprofit management, or related field
- Previous coursework or experience in fundraising, marketing, nonprofit management, or community outreach
- Comfortable with outreach and follow-up to sponsors and community partners, including telephone communications
- Responsible, hard-working, ethical, and committed to the mission of The Child Advocacy Center
- High level of organizational skills and detail-oriented
- Solid oral and written communication skills
- Computer proficiency with applications such as Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to multitask
- Interest in a nonprofit career, particularly development and fundraising
Job Duties
- Assist in coordinating social media and marketing campaigns
- Support email marketing efforts such as newsletters, appeals, and event promotions
- Assist in website updates
- Assist in designing graphics aligned with The CAC branding
- Conduct in-depth research on funding possibilities for fundraising events
- Represent the agency at community and corporate events
- Assist with research, planning and implementation of third-party events and community outreach initiatives
- Assist with in-kind coordination
- Assist with set-up and break-down of events
- Support volunteer coordination
- Assist in the preparation and organization of event materials, including signage, decor, auction items, and other event-related assets
- Support donor stewardship efforts and communications
- Conduct research on funding opportunities and support the development of grant proposals
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned
