With a mission grounded in community support and inclusion, the YMCA of Dane County has become a trusted institution for fostering wellness, personal growth, and social impact in the region. As part of our commitment to creating an inclusive and vibrant community environment, we are actively seeking a passionate and organized Full Time Development and Engagement Coordinator to join our team. This role is pivotal in driving member engagement through planning and leading enriching events across all three YMCA branches in the county. These events are designed to foster community spirit, encourage healthy lifestyles, and provide meaningful opportunities for social interaction. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with branch leadership, marketing, membership teams, and community partners to ensure seamless event execution and effective promotion. Additionally, the role supports development and fundraising efforts, further advancing the YMCA's mission and outreach capabilities. This position offers a unique chance to combine your organizational skills, passion for community service, and event coordination expertise in a role that directly impacts the lives of those we serve. You will be trusted with managing event logistics, coordinating staffing, maintaining event budgets, and ensuring adherence to safety and risk management best practices. Promoting events via social media and traditional channels will be a key responsibility, ensuring strong attendance and engagement from the local community. This role also demands a proactive approach to fostering relationships with members, staff, and community partners, creating an inclusive environment that welcomes and celebrates diversity. As a full-time position, the Development and Engagement Coordinator benefits from a competitive retirement plan, free YMCA membership, and excellent benefits, including medical and dental insurance, vacation and sick time, and a 403B plan. This comprehensive benefit package underscores our commitment to supporting our employees both professionally and personally. At YMCA of Dane County, we are proud of our reputation as a supportive employer that values diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity in hiring and employment practices. We embrace all applicants irrespective of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or veteran status, and believe strongly in creating a welcoming workplace where every team member can thrive. If you are motivated by community impact, enjoy managing creative events, and want to make a difference in a meaningful nonprofit setting, this is an outstanding opportunity to join our dedicated team and contribute your talents in a role that truly matters.
