Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business, marketing, communications, hospitality, journalism, or related field
- minimum four years of relevant experience in marketing, journalism, business, hospitality, event services, or communications
- at least three years of experience planning and executing complex, large-scale conferences and/or events
- ability to adapt quickly to last-minute changes
- proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software
- capability to participate in emergency management functions and support disaster response efforts
- excellent leadership and team management skills
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, hospitality, journalism, or related field
- four years marketing, journalism, business, hospitality, event services, communications, or related experience
- three years' experience planning and executing complex, large-scale conferences or events
- proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM (Simpleview or similar), Cvent, EmpowerMINT, LinkedIn
- preferred certifications include CDME, CMP, or other relevant professional certifications
Job Duties
- Build and manage a Destination Services team
- support group sales, sports sales, and special events sales efforts
- maintain positive relationships with local industry partners
- connect meeting planners with local resources
- plan and execute events ranging from small meetings to large-scale conventions
- develop strategy and implement systems and procedures
- lead and empower staff while delivering on service promises
