Job Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- College degree desired
- Skilled with multi-line telephones and voice mail
- Proficient in the use of computer systems including Word, Excel, Outlook and other relevant programs
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. maximum and frequently lift and carry objects up to 25 lbs.
- Capability to walk or stand for significant periods
- Ability to reach, handle, feel, talk, hear, and see
- Must be able to work varying schedules reflective of hotel business needs
- Must comply with company’s drug-free workplace policies and pre-employment substance abuse testing
Job Qualifications
- Ability to handle multiple customer and operational demands with a high degree of professionalism
- Proficient time management skills to complete tasks timely and meet deadlines
- Interpersonal skills to provide overall guest satisfaction
- Ability to work under pressure and handle stressful situations
- Mastery of PMS Opera, Passkey, SynXis, and other operational reservation channels
- Excellent communication skills including reading, writing, and speaking English
- Ability to access, read, and input information using a moderately complex computer system
- Capacity to effectively deal with internal and external customers with patience, tact, and diplomacy
Job Duties
- Daily audit of reservations through multiple reporting capabilities
- Look for special requests, coding issues, billing requirements, and modifications
- Process daily deposits, no shows and cancellations
- Manage and confirm leisure reservations including FHR, Wholesale, and BAR reservations
- Review and audit third party reservations to ensure accuracy in rates, categories and billing set up
- Send proforma invoices as needed
- Answer calls and return emails from wholesalers, internal departments, voicemails and guests seeking to book reservations
- Provide support to the Experience Center, Sales, Member Services, and Guest Services with reservation related questions
- Assist Travel Partners and long-term stay prospects by providing superior knowledge, appropriate rate options, and room tours when necessary
- Work varying schedules to reflect business needs of the hotel
- Perform other duties as required by Director of Reservations to support sales, revenue management, and group housing
- Assist with Experience Center and Guest Services operations as needed
- Assist with Member Reservations when necessary
- Attend scheduled operational and sales meetings
- Maintain good working relationships with other departments, associates and guests
- Prepare reports and complete training courses as required
- Keep work area clean and organized
