Job Description

The Cheesecake Factory is a renowned leader in the experiential dining sector, celebrated for its culinary-forward approach and exceptional hospitality. Established as a premium casual dining restaurant, the brand has gained significant recognition for delivering delicious and memorable dining experiences to guests. With 353 restaurants across the United States and Canada under various brands, including The Cheesecake Factory, North Italia, and Flower Child, it continues to expand its footprint in the restaurant industry. The company also operates internationally with 34 licensed Cheesecake Factory locations, showcasing its global reach.

Beyond the restaurant floor, The Cheesecake Factory boasts a robust bakery division that manages two production facilities dedicated to creating high-quality cheesecakes and other baked goods. These products supply both the company’s restaurants and international licensees, as well as third-party bakery customers, ensuring consistent quality and freshness. Known for fostering inclusive work environments, The Cheesecake Factory is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion, welcoming applicants from diverse backgrounds and supporting reasonable accommodations for candidates with disabilities.

The role of Dessert Finisher/Barista at The Cheesecake Factory is an integral part of its front-of-house team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be the friendly face behind the bakery case, responsible for putting the final touches on the brand's famous cheesecakes and desserts. As a Dessert Finisher/Barista, you will expertly glaze strawberries, create perfectly dolloped whipped cream, and craft a variety of espresso and specialty coffee beverages that delight guests. The position is well-suited for candidates who thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment and who take pride in consistently delivering quality that elevates the guest experience.

In this role, you’ll be directly involved in supporting the front-of-house operations to ensure smooth service delivery. This includes maintaining excellent hygiene and sanitation standards, adhering to food safety protocols, labeling and rotating products appropriately using FIFO practices, and managing station setup and breakdown efficiently. You’ll also exercise strong multitasking skills and sustain positive, clear communication with the team to promote an enjoyable work environment. Embracing teamwork and adaptability, you will contribute to maintaining the upbeat and welcoming culture The Cheesecake Factory is known for.

Employment type for this position includes flexible scheduling with opportunities for both full-time and part-time hours to accommodate individual life commitments. The compensation range is competitive, starting at $16.00 per hour and going up to $18.75 per hour based on experience and performance. The Cheesecake Factory also offers accelerated wage access and substantial employee discounts on meals during shifts and for friends and family dining.

This role is perfect for individuals with prior experience or interest in restaurant, hospitality, barista, or food service settings. Candidates should have some familiarity with beverage preparation and a strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices. The successful Dessert Finisher/Barista will be dependable, punctual, and passionate about hospitality and customer satisfaction. Physical job demands include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for prolonged periods, and continuously bend, reach, and twist throughout the shift. Applicants must be at least 18 years old.

Choosing to join The Cheesecake Factory means becoming part of an award-winning company recognized repeatedly on Fortune's "100 Best Companies to Work For" list since 2014, along with other accolades such as PEOPLE's Companies That Care and Great Place to Work certification. Employees receive world-class training aimed at personal and professional growth and access to educational programs including no-cost GED or Associate degree courses. Additional benefits include comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage options, paid vacation and sick time, virtual mental health services, and numerous perks like cell phone, gym, movie, and theme park discounts.

Overall, the Dessert Finisher/Barista role at The Cheesecake Factory presents a rewarding opportunity to engage with customers, develop valuable skills, and grow within a supportive and dynamic company. If you enjoy working in a high-energy environment and want to contribute to a team that prioritizes excellent service and memorable dining experiences, this position offers an ideal career path with competitive pay and substantial employee benefits.
