Job Description
The Cheesecake Factory is a renowned leader in experiential dining, consistently recognized on FORTUNE Magazine's "100 Best Companies to Work For" list since 2014. Known for its culinary-forward approach and relentless focus on hospitality, The Cheesecake Factory operates over 350 restaurants throughout the United States and Canada, as well as internationally through licensing agreements. The company also boasts a bakery division that produces quality cheesecakes and baked goods supplying both its restaurants and third-party customers, ensuring the widest reach of its signature offerings. As a thriving full-service restaurant brand, The Cheesecake Factory emphasizes creating memorable dining experiences crafted by passionate team members, reflecting a strong commitment to quality and guest satisfaction.
Joining The Cheesecake Factory means becoming part of a high-volume, fast-paced environment dedicated to delivering exceptional food and beverage experiences. The role of a Dessert Finisher/Barista places you at the heart of the bakery case, where you will perfect the presentation of their iconic desserts like cheesecakes by adding the final decorative touches such as glazing strawberries and creating precisely crafted whipped cream dollops that delight guests visually and gastronomically. Alongside dessert finishing, you will operate espresso machines to prepare specialty coffee and espresso beverages, further enhancing the guest experience with high-quality drinks. This combined role supports front-of-house operations and requires a keen eye for detail, a strong sense of urgency, and an unwavering commitment to food safety and hygiene standards.
The position offers steady and flexible scheduling opportunities, suitable for both full-time and part-time employment. Compensation ranges from $14.00 to $17.25 per hour, reflecting the company’s acknowledgement of the important role dessert finishers and baristas play in the overall guest satisfaction and brand reputation. Employees gain access to various benefits such as paid vacation and sick time, comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and prescription coverage with highly affordable premiums, and access to virtual care and mental health services provided at no cost. The company also offers unique perks like faster pay options allowing access to earned wages as soon as the next day, discounts on meals during shifts and dining with friends and family, and other conveniences including savings on cell phone plans, gym memberships, movie tickets, and theme parks.
The Cheesecake Factory focuses heavily on employee growth and development by offering world-class training programs and career advancement opportunities, as over half of their managers are promoted internally. Additionally, employees can benefit from no-cost GED or Associate Degree programs. The company fosters a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive workplace culture, encouraging employees to participate in community events, charity programs, and recognition awards. The supportive culture complements the high standards of professionalism and teamwork that ensure guests receive top-notch service every time.
This role is ideal for individuals with prior experience in the restaurant, hospitality, or food service industries who are passionate about creating superior guest experiences and thrive in dynamic, fast-paced settings. Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weight is required, as is a commitment to punctuality and reliability. The Cheesecake Factory proudly encourages applications from individuals of diverse backgrounds and provides accommodations for applicants with disabilities, reinforcing their dedication to equity and inclusion.
