The role of Dessert Finisher/Barista is pivotal in upholding The Cheesecake Factory's commitment to providing an exceptional guest experience. Individuals in this position are the friendly faces behind the bakery case, meticulously applying the final touches to the brand's signature cheesecakes and desserts. From glazing iconic strawberries to creating visually stunning whipped cream dollops, the Dessert Finisher/Barista plays a crucial role in ensuring every dessert not only tastes exquisite but also delights customers visually. Beyond their artistry with desserts, these team members operate espresso machines to craft specialty coffee and espresso beverages, contributing directly to the overall beverage service. As part of a high-volume, full-service restaurant team, they support front-of-house operations, demonstrating pride and ownership in consistently delivering quality that elevates the dining experience.
This position offers flexible scheduling options, including full-time and part-time roles, to accommodate life’s varying demands. The compensation range for this role is $15.15 to $17.50 per hour. Job Requirements
- Previous restaurant, hospitality, barista, or food service industry experience preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to continuously bend, reach, and twist
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Dependable, reliable, and punctual
- Ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced environment
- Effective communication skills
Job Qualifications
- Previous restaurant, hospitality, barista, or food service industry experience preferred
- Familiarity with beverage preparation and food handling is a plus
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Adaptable, patient, and able to thrive in a high volume environment
- Dependable, reliable, punctual, and dedicated with consistent work habits

- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, continuously bend, reach and twist
- Must be at least 18 years old
Job Duties
- Plate and finish desserts with accuracy, attention to detail, and consistent presentation
- Operate an espresso machine to prepare specialty coffee and espresso beverages
- Accurately follow instructions while upholding food safety and food handling standards, with awareness of food allergies
- Label, date, and rotate products following FIFO (First In, First Out) practices
- Work with efficiency, speed, and a sense of urgency in a fast paced environment
- Maintain organization, cleanliness, and sanitation of work areas
- Complete station setup and breakdown, including stocking and closing tasks
- Support teamwork through clear and effective communication
- Multitask and work well under pressure with a positive attitude
- Deliver exceptional service to ensure guest satisfaction
