Job Duties

  • Prepare a variety of desserts including cakes pastries and ice cream following established recipes and presentation standards
  • Ensure that all desserts are fresh and visually appealing with attention to taste texture and appearance
  • Assist in the development of new dessert menu items including seasonal offerings
  • Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens mixers and blenders to bake desserts
  • Plate and garnish desserts in an attractive manner before serving to guests
  • Monitor and manage dessert ingredients and supplies ensuring they are fresh and in stock
  • Report any shortages or equipment issues to the kitchen manager
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area including all baking and plating tools
  • Follow all safety and sanitation procedures in the kitchen
