Job Duties
- Prepare a variety of desserts including cakes pastries and ice cream following established recipes and presentation standards
- Ensure that all desserts are fresh and visually appealing with attention to taste texture and appearance
- Assist in the development of new dessert menu items including seasonal offerings
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens mixers and blenders to bake desserts
- Plate and garnish desserts in an attractive manner before serving to guests
- Monitor and manage dessert ingredients and supplies ensuring they are fresh and in stock
- Report any shortages or equipment issues to the kitchen manager
- Maintain a clean and organized work area including all baking and plating tools
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures in the kitchen
