Job Description

This job opportunity is presented by a restaurant that operates under the McDonald’s brand, owned and managed by an independent franchisee rather than McDonald’s USA. The franchisee holds a license to use the well-known McDonald’s logos and food products but operates as a separate entity from the McDonald’s corporate organization. As such, all employment decisions and matters—including hiring, firing, staff supervision, discipline, scheduling, and staffing—are handled solely by the franchisee. McDonald’s USA does not influence or participate in any employment-related processes nor receives any application information submitted for this position. This distinction ensures that the franchisee maintains full control of its restaurant operations and employee relations independently of the larger McDonald’s corporation. The restaurant offers a vibrant and fast-paced working environment with a commitment to excellent customer service, high-quality food preparation, and staff development.

The position available is for a Department Manager role within this franchise restaurant. This leadership opportunity suits individuals who want a fulfilling career with room for growth, excellent benefits, and flexible working hours. As a Department Manager, you will inspire and guide your team to deliver fast, accurate, and friendly service to customers every day. The role empowers you to lead key operational areas such as Guest Service, Kitchen, and People departments, each with unique responsibilities. For example, Guest Service managers ensure smooth customer interactions, sales promotions, and well-run front counter and drive-thru operations. Kitchen managers focus on food quality, safety, production processes, and inventory control. People managers handle recruitment, training, scheduling, and motivation of crew members to meet business goals and create an encouraging workplace atmosphere.

In addition to hands-on experience in staff leadership, the role emphasizes personal growth through ongoing learning opportunities. Employees have access to college tuition assistance, training programs, retirement benefits, and comprehensive health coverage. The company fosters a positive culture where energy, collaboration, and leadership development thrive. Alongside competitive pay, Department Managers may enjoy 15 to 25 days of paid vacation, 10 paid holidays, sabbatical leave after ten years, education programs including high school equivalency and language courses, paid leaves of absence, and various insurance options including medical, dental, vision, disability, life, and accident coverage.

This role is ideally suited for motivated individuals who bring positive energy to a team and who are able to manage the demands of a famously fast-paced environment. Experience in retail, restaurant, or hospitality management is preferred but not mandatory. The position requires candidates to be at least 18 years old and open to flexible scheduling. Ultimately, becoming a Department Manager at this independent McDonald’s franchise is a chance to establish a rewarding career with tangible benefits and extensive support for personal and professional advancement within a globally recognized brand setting.
