This job posting is for a managerial position within a McDonald's restaurant that is owned and operated by an independent franchisee. It is important to distinguish that this franchisee is a separate legal entity from McDonald's USA and holds the license to use McDonald's branding, logos, and food products. While the restaurant operates under the globally recognized McDonald's brand, all employment matters are the sole responsibility of the franchisee and not McDonald's USA. This separation means that if hired, your employment contract and related employment processes—such as hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling—are managed exclusively by the franchisee employer.

The role of a Department Manager at this McDonald's restaurant is comprehensive and multifaceted. Department Managers play a pivotal role in ensuring operational success across various areas such as guest service, kitchen operations, and people management. Beyond shift leadership, some managers take on responsibility for specific operational departments such as Training, Food Safety, or Inventory Management. Within the Guest Service Department, managers are tasked with delivering a memorable customer experience by making sure crew members and other managers excel in customer service procedures. They oversee sales promotion execution, maintain organized front counter, McCafe, and drive-thru service areas. Kitchen Department Managers ensure the preparation and delivery of quality food products while managing food safety and controlling food costs. They also make sure kitchen team members are fully trained in all food production protocols, including new menu item rollouts.

People Department Managers have the important responsibility of recruiting qualified crew members, training them effectively, and scheduling them in alignment with the business’s sales and profit targets. These managers focus on team member onboarding, motivation, and recognition, fostering a positive and productive work environment. This role is ideal for individuals with previous managerial experience, especially in fast-paced environments such as restaurants, retail, or hospitality.
