Job Description

This job opening is with a restaurant operated by an independent franchisee who holds a license to use McDonald's logos and food products. While this franchisee operates the restaurant under the McDonald's brand, it is a separate legal entity and employer from McDonald's USA. Employment decisions, management, staffing, and all operational tasks relating to employees at this location are the responsibility of the franchisee, not McDonald's USA. Prospective employees should understand that applying for this position means applying to work for the franchisee independently, and McDonald's USA will not be involved in any decisions regarding hiring, firing, or employee management.

The role available is for a Department Manager within this McDonald's franchise restaurant. Department Managers play a vital role in the daily operations by leading shifts and ensuring that customers receive fast, accurate, and friendly service every visit. Some Department Managers may also handle specialized responsibilities managing systems such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management, setting store goals, delegating tasks, following up on progress, and communicating results effectively with their team and other managers.

There are multiple department focuses including Guest Service, Kitchen, and People Management. Guest Service Department Managers ensure customers have a fantastic experience, oversee sales promotions, manage training for service staff, and organize key areas like the Front Counter, McCafe, and Drive-Thru for optimum efficiency. Kitchen Department Managers focus on delivering high-quality food quickly, maintaining food safety standards, controlling food costs, and training kitchen staff on production procedures including new menu additions. People Department Managers take charge of recruiting qualified team members, training and scheduling staff to meet sales and profit goals, and fostering an engaging, motivating work environment that promotes staff recognition and development.

The ideal candidates for these managerial roles are positive team players with flexible schedules who thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy motivating others. Previous managerial experience in restaurant, retail, or hospitality industries is preferred. Additionally, candidates must be at least 18 years old to apply as managers in corporate-owned and operated McDonald's restaurants.
