Job Description

This job opportunity is at a restaurant operated by an independent franchisee licensed to use McDonald's logos and food products. Although it carries the famous McDonald's brand, this establishment is fully owned and managed by a separate company and is not affiliated with McDonald's USA in terms of employment. Therefore, all hiring, firing, staffing, scheduling, discipline, and employee supervision are managed directly by the franchisee, ensuring a localized and personalized approach to running the business.

McDonald's franchise restaurants have long been recognized worldwide for delivering consistent quality food and fast, friendly service. Working at this franchise provides you the chance to be part of a dynamic team environment where energy, purpose, and leadership are paramount. Whether you are new to management or looking to build on your existing experience, this role offers an excellent platform to develop your skills in restaurant leadership, customer service, and operational excellence.

The position is for a Department Manager who will play a vital role in the success of the restaurant. This leadership role involves overseeing and coordinating activities in various key systems such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management. Department Managers work closely with their teams to set goals, delegate tasks effectively, monitor progress, and communicate results to ensure the smooth daily operation of the restaurant.

Managers may focus on specific departments such as Guest Service, Kitchen, or People. The Guest Service Department Manager ensures that all customer-facing employees deliver fast and friendly service, maintain service areas like the Front Counter McCafe and Drive-Thru, and execute sales promotions successfully. The Kitchen Department Manager prioritizes quality food production, food safety, controlled food costs, and staff training on recipes and preparation procedures. The People Department Manager concentrates on hiring qualified staff, training employees thoroughly, managing schedules to meet sales and profit targets, and fostering a motivated and recognized workforce.

This role is well-suited for energetic individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, value teamwork, and have a passion for delivering excellent service. Previous managerial experience, especially in restaurant, retail, or hospitality settings, is preferred but not mandatory. Successful candidates must be at least 18 years old to hold a management position in this corporate-owned and operated franchise.

Career advancement opportunities, college tuition assistance, job training, and retirement benefits form a key part of the growth path from this position. The franchise encourages its team members to reach further than they thought possible through comprehensive support that includes educational programs, competitive pay, and employee resource connections. If you aspire to build a future in the food service industry and leadership, this is the ideal role to begin or elevate your journey.
