Job Description
This job opportunity is at a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee licensed to use McDonald's logos and food products. Unlike McDonald's USA, this franchisee functions as a separate company with its own management and employment practices. Any candidate hired through this posting will be employed directly by the franchisee, not McDonald's USA. This distinction means that all employment matters, such as hiring, firing, scheduling, staffing, discipline, and supervision, are managed solely by the franchisee. McDonald's USA does not control any employment-related decisions and does not receive applications or partake in the hiring process for this position.
The franchise operates under the well-known McDonald's brand, offering the same trusted menu items and quality standards admired globally. Working for this franchise provides an opportunity to be a part of the fast-paced, vibrant environment McDonald's is famous for, while enjoying the stability and community that franchised restaurants often provide. Employees will become part of a team that values energy, collaboration, and professional growth. This restaurant serves up not only delicious food but also creates feel-good moments for customers, making it a rewarding workplace for those who enjoy customer service and team leadership.
The position available is that of a Department Manager in a corporate-owned McDonald's store, with a focus on leading shifts weekly and ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly dining experience every visit. Managers may also be responsible for one of several departments, including Guest Service, Kitchen, or People. Responsibilities vary with each department but generally include training team members, executing sales promotions effectively, managing food safety and quality standards, controlling inventory and food costs, and ensuring that the restaurant meets its operational goals.
For instance, a Guest Service Department Manager ensures that the front counter, McCafé, and drive-thru areas are well-organized, that the crew delivers exceptional customer experiences, and that all service procedures are properly followed. A Kitchen Department Manager focuses on food quality, safety, cost control, and training production staff, including retraining for newly introduced menu items. Meanwhile, the People Department Manager oversees hiring, training, scheduling, and motivating crew members to achieve sales and profit goals while fostering a supportive and engaging work environment.
The ideal candidates for this role are individuals who bring positive energy to their team, demonstrate flexibility in their scheduling, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and have a passion for leadership in restaurant, retail, or hospitality settings. Previous experience as a McDonald's manager is preferred but not mandatory. All managers must be at least 18 years old to qualify for this position.
This role comes with attractive benefits designed to support personal and professional growth. The franchisee offers competitive pay along with paid vacation, free meals and meal discounts, education opportunities through programs such as Archways to Opportunity that include high school diploma completion, college tuition assistance, and English language classes. Additionally, there are medical, dental, and vision coverage options, free uniforms, disability and life insurance, performance-based incentives and rewards, service awards, employee discount programs, on-the-job training, and referral bonuses.
Joining this team means committing to a career with strong support for your goals and future aspirations. It is a chance to pursue flexible working hours, continuous education, and skills development while being part of a highly respected global brand operated locally by an independent and entrepreneurial franchisee. This unique blend of corporate support and franchise autonomy offers a dynamic work environment with ample opportunity for advancement and personal development. If you are driven by teamwork, customer satisfaction, and leadership, this position at the McDonald's franchise is designed for you. Take the next step in your career and apply to join a team that values your contributions and helps you grow.
