Job Description

This job opportunity is presented by an independently owned and operated McDonald's restaurant franchise. The franchise operates under a license that allows the use of McDonald's branding and food products but functions as a separate entity from McDonald's USA. The franchisee owns and manages the restaurant independently, handling all employment-related matters including hiring, firing, staffing, and scheduling. Therefore, the franchisee is the direct employer for this role, not McDonald's USA.

The role available is a Department Manager position within this vibrant and fast-paced restaurant environment. The Department Manager is a crucial link in ensuring the smooth operations of the restaurant, directly reporting to the General Manager and overseeing specific internal systems such as Employee Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management. This leadership role requires managing shifts, ensuring excellent customer service, and supporting the team in delivering a memorable experience to every guest.

Candidates will find that this position offers a range of compelling benefits and opportunities for professional growth. With competitive pay starting between $17.00 and $22.00 per hour based on experience, flexible scheduling, and substantial college tuition assistance—up to $3,000—this role supports both immediate financial needs and longer-term educational ambitions. Paid sick leave, employee discounts, free meals, paid vacations, and potential performance bonuses further enrich the employee experience.

As a Department Manager, the candidate will be empowered to lead key restaurant functions that drive quality, safety, and efficiency. This includes supervising food quality and safety, managing cost controls, welcoming and integrating new menu items, hiring and training staff, and ensuring schedules align with sales and profit goals. The position demands excellent communication skills, the ability to think quickly and make decisions under pressure, and a firm commitment to workplace safety and customer satisfaction. It offers a career path with rich training and advancement opportunities, heralding a promising future in restaurant management or beyond.

In joining this team, you become part of a company culture that values positivity, teamwork, and personal development. The environment at this McDonald's franchise is dynamic and energetic, encouraging you to say yes to growth, leadership, and making a difference daily. Whether you seek a flexible job that can accommodate personal goals or are looking to develop your management skills in a service-oriented business, this position is designed to meet and exceed those aspirations. The organization prides itself on creating an inviting atmosphere for employees to thrive, ensuring that every team member can contribute to and celebrate collective success.
