This job posting is for a position within a restaurant operated by an independent franchisee licensed to use McDonald’s logos and food products. While McDonald’s USA owns the brand and trademarks, the franchisee is a separate company responsible for all employment decisions, including hiring, firing, scheduling, and supervision. This means if you are hired, your employer will be the franchisee and not McDonald’s USA. The franchisee manages all aspects of employment matters within the restaurant, and McDonald’s USA holds no control or involvement in these matters.
The role of a Department Manager in this franchise-operated McDonald’s restaurant is vital to ensuring smooth daily operations and delivering an outstanding customer experience. This leadership role requires managing shifts, overseeing crew schedules, and inspiring the team to meet McDonald’s renowned standards of service and quality. As a Department Manager, you are expected to lead by example, provide clear leadership, and empower your team members to excel in their roles while maintaining a passionate focus on customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
Your responsibilities will include supervising food safety and cleanliness practices to meet strict McDonald’s standards, managing inventory and profitability measures, and prioritizing safety and security within the restaurant. Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to lead shifts each week ensuring fast, accurate, friendly customer service
- Manage assigned systems such as training, food safety, and inventory
- Delegate tasks, follow up and report results
- Hire, train and schedule qualified crew
- Ensure compliance with McDonald’s food safety and cleanliness standards
