Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 months of experience working in a dental office or same position
  • Saturday availability is essential
  • Start time as early as 8:20 AM each day
  • Flexible end times, weekdays close at 6:00 PM with shifts as late as 6:45 PM, Saturdays close at 4:00 PM with shifts as late as 4:45 PM
  • Ability to adhere to HIPAA protocols
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Willingness to learn and collaborate with team members

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 months of experience working in a dental office or same position
  • Familiarity with Dentrix Ascend
  • Cross trained or some knowledge of the clinical side
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Knowledge of insurance and billing processes

Job Duties

  • Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey, sustain patient comfort and provide appropriate education to patients
  • Knowledge of account ledger
  • Insurance breakdown
  • Answering phone calls
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Creating and presenting treatment plans
  • Checkout patients
  • Charge patients for services
  • Create claims
  • Send claims
  • Send pre authorizations
  • Utilize Dentrix Ascend for patient scheduling and record keeping
  • Adherence to HIPAA protocols
  • Other duties associated with business assistants and receptionists at a dental office
  • Partner with the providers and team to implement systems and maximize office workflow
