Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 months of experience working in a dental office or same position
  • Saturday availability is essential
  • start time as early as 8:20 AM
  • flexibility with varying end times including weekdays until 6:00 PM or later and Saturdays until 4:00 PM or later
  • ability to use Dentrix Ascend software
  • knowledge of HIPAA protocols
  • team player
  • good organizational skills

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 months of experience working in a dental office or same position
  • familiarity with Dentrix Ascend preferred
  • some knowledge of the clinical side preferred
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to multitask and handle high volume interactions
  • attention to detail
  • customer service oriented

Job Duties

  • Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey
  • sustain patient comfort and provide appropriate education to patients
  • knowledge of account ledger
  • insurance breakdown
  • answering phone calls
  • scheduling appointments
  • creating and presenting treatment plans
  • checkout patients
  • charge patients for services
  • create claims
  • send claims
  • send pre authorizations
  • utilize Dentrix Ascend for patient scheduling and record keeping
  • adherence to HIPAA protocols
  • other duties associated with business assistants and receptionists at a dental office
  • partner with the providers and team to implement our systems and maximize office workflow
