Job Requirements

  • must be at least 18 years of age
  • demonstrate five years of experience in culinary field or have a culinary degree with three years of related experience
  • strong communication and organizational skills
  • proven leadership and interpersonal skills
  • adept at troubleshooting and handling difficult situations
  • ability to create, read, and understand recipes
  • knowledge of knife skills and appropriate usage
  • exhibit a positive, friendly, and helpful attitude
  • demonstrate excellent guest service skills and service recovery abilities
  • passion and enthusiasm for working in the kitchen
  • knowledge of culinary techniques and terminology
  • hold food safety certification or equivalent
  • ability to work with technology systems such as plate costing buffet system, CAFÉ system, KDS, Workbrain
  • flexible to work various shifts including days, nights, weekends, holidays and special events

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • prepare and execute menu items according to established recipes and culinary techniques
  • lead and assist kitchen team in fast-paced service environments
  • ensure food quality and presentation meet the resort's high standards
  • maintain kitchen cleanliness and adhere to food safety regulations
  • troubleshoot and resolve kitchen operational issues calmly
  • communicate effectively with team members and management
  • deliver outstanding guest service and engage in service recovery when necessary
