Job Description

Delta Hotels by Marriott Dallas Southlake is a distinguished hotel located in Southlake, Texas, known for its exceptional accommodations and outstanding service. Situated just 7.5 miles from Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, the hotel offers convenient access to major city attractions while providing a serene and comfortable environment for guests. Part of the Marriott family, Delta Hotels by Marriott Dallas Southlake consistently delivers premium hospitality experiences tailored to both business and leisure travelers. The hotel features modern amenities, spacious rooms, and elegant event spaces ideally suited for hosting a variety of gatherings, from corporate meetings to special celebrations.

We are currently seeking a motivated and energetic individual to join our team as a House Person - Banquets. In this vital role, you will work behind the scenes to ensure every banquet and event runs smoothly and successfully. As a Banquets House Person, you will be responsible for maintaining impeccable cleanliness, setting up banquet rooms to exact specifications, and supporting the readiness of the event spaces for our clients and guests. Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently under time-sensitive conditions are crucial components of this position.

The Banquets House Person plays a key role in transforming event areas into picture-perfect settings. You will be recognized as the 'Setup Superstar,' orchestrating the arrangement and preparation of banquet spaces with flair to meet the unique needs of each event. Beyond setup, your responsibilities extend to maintaining cleanliness and safety standards throughout the venue, ensuring that guests can enjoy their celebrations in a spotless and hazard-free environment. This includes cleaning all areas ranging from carpets and windows to storerooms large and small.

In addition to maintaining a pristine environment, you will act as a Supply Sidekick, monitoring and organizing inventory to ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are readily available for upcoming events. Your proactive approach will help prevent last-minute shortages and support smooth event execution.

Safety is another critical focus; as a Safety Sentinel, you will remain vigilant, recognizing exit routes, spotting potential hazards, and contributing to a safe setting for both guests and staff. Once events conclude, your role as Breakdown Boss comes into play, efficiently dismantling setups and storing equipment properly in preparation for future functions.

This position calls for a diligent and reliable professional who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced hospitality environment. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, prior experience in hotel or banquet services, and possess strong communication and decision-making skills. A valid driver’s license is preferred if driving is part of the responsibilities.

Delta Hotels by Marriott Dallas Southlake offers competitive compensation and an attractive benefits package for full-time employees after an initial employment period. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance; short-term and long-term disability coverage; life and AD&D insurance; paid time off; an employee assistance program; and a 401k retirement plan. Additionally, we are now proud to offer daily pay options, providing financial flexibility to our team members.

If you are passionate about hospitality and eager to contribute your talents to a respected brand, join us at Delta Hotels by Marriott Dallas Southlake as a House Person - Banquets, and be part of creating memorable experiences for all our guests.
