This truck driving position at Ferguson offers a rewarding career opportunity with a competitive starting pay rate of $27 per hour, which may increase depending on experience. The role is structured to maintain a healthy work-life balance, providing a Monday through Friday schedule from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM with no nights or weekend shifts, along with occasional overtime as needed. As a professional truck driver at Ferguson, the individual will be responsible for delivering materials to customers, ensuring accurate loading and unloading, and verifying delivery documentation. This role also involves performing daily vehicle inspections, maintaining compliance with Department of Transportation regulations, and assisting warehouse personnel with order preparation and stocking. The position emphasizes adhering to all company safety policies, including the use of personal protective equipment such as safety harnesses, and requires handling items weighing up to 50 pounds. Job Requirements

  • valid CDL license
  • at least 21 years of age
  • meet and maintain CDL requirements
  • follow DOT standards and regulations
  • possession or ability to acquire DOT medical card
  • ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • able to work overtime
  • pass pre-employment drug and background screening
  • adhere to safety regulations including proper use of PPE

Job Qualifications

  • must hold a valid CDL license
  • must be at least 21 years of age
  • flatbed experience preferred
  • meet and maintain qualifications for CDL requirements
  • follow all DOT standards and regulations
  • possession of a DOT medical card or ability to acquire one
  • ability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Moffett experience preferred
  • background in warehouse operations and logistics including shipping, receiving, and delivery is a plus
  • strong communication skills with a customer-focused approach
  • able to operate basic technology including iPads

Job Duties

  • deliver materials to the customer, including assistance with loading and unloading and ensuring delivery of ticket with material
  • pick up customer returns and validate product match for credit requests
  • perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, fuel the truck as needed, and report any problems to supervisor
  • follow and implement all company safety policies and procedures
  • assist warehouse personnel with pulling, preparing, receiving, verifying, staging, and stocking materials
  • work overtime as needed
  • adhere to all safety regulations including proper use of personal protective equipment such as safety harnesses
