Delivery Truck Driver

The role primarily involves operating commercial vehicles to transport heavy equipment between the dealership’s facilities and directly to customers. This includes picking up new equipment from factories, such as those operated by John Deere, thus ensuring timely delivery and support to the sales department. Beyond transportation duties, the position requires maintaining the yard and equipment, maintaining accurate records of pickups and deliveries including obtaining customer signatures, and complying with all relevant certifications and regulations such as those from the Department of Transportation (DOT) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). The operator may also provide customers with basic guidance on equipment operations, contributing to customer service excellence. Strong attention to detail and the ability to record and report time and distance traveled are essential. The role requires the operator to be physically capable of lifting items weighing up to 75 pounds repeatedly and involves occasional vehicle maintenance duties to keep trucks and equipment in good working order. This position reports to the Service Manager and is critical to the dealership’s operations, playing a key part in the sales and service teams to ensure customer satisfaction and seamless delivery logistics.
