The US Foods CDL-A Driver position is a vital role focused on delivering products safely and efficiently to customers within the foodservice industry. Drivers are entrusted with operating company trucks, meeting scheduled delivery times, and ensuring customer satisfaction through professional interaction and accurate order handling. This position offers an attractive compensation package with earnings up to $130,000 in the first year, along with a $15,000 retention bonus for eligible new hires. The work schedule runs Monday through Saturday with two days off, though Saturdays are mandatory workdays, and dispatch times fall between midnight and 5:00 AM. The role requires physical stamina as it involves lifting and handling products weighing between 20 to over 80 pounds during each shift, operating delivery equipment like two-wheelers and pallet jacks, and frequently stopping during inclement weather conditions. Additionally, drivers handle verification of deliveries, obtain customer signatures, and manage payment collections when applicable. Professional customer service skills are essential to enhance client relationships and ensure a positive delivery experience.
Successful candidates must be at least 21 years old, possess a valid CDL Class A license with the necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications, and have registered with the FMCSA Clearinghouse as mandated by the Department of Transportation. A minimum of six months of commercial driving experience in any industry or three months in food or beverage delivery is required. The ability to operate a manual transmission vehicle is preferred and may be mandatory in certain locations. Candidates should be proficient in reading and communicating in English to understand highway signs, respond to inquiries, and accurately complete reports.

Job Requirements
- must be at least 21 years of age
- valid CDL Class A license issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
- registered to the FMCSA Clearinghouse
- minimum of six months commercial driving experience in any industry or three months commercial driving experience in food and/or beverage delivery industry
- able to lift, carry, push, pull 20 to 80+ lbs repetitively during each shift
- comfortable driving and working in inclement weather
- ability to read and communicate in English

Job Duties
- safely drive trucks to customers and meet scheduled customer delivery times
- carefully unload products from the trailer with a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand and place in designated customer storage areas
- verify accuracy of delivery with customers and obtain proper signatures
- handle collections and payments from customers when applicable
- professionally perform customer service responsibilities to enhance our client experience
- perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspection
