Known for its commitment to employee well-being and a positive work environment, Andrews Distributing offers a unique blend of a family-oriented culture where employees feel valued, respected, and motivated to succeed. As a leader in the beer and spirits distribution industry, Andrews carries an impressive portfolio of popular brands including Modelo, Coors, Miller, Corona, Heineken, Blue Moon, Shiner, Sam Adams, Dos Equis, Revolver, Lakewood, Rahr, Truly, Topo Chico, Mike's, Pacifico, and more. Their spirits portfolio includes top brands such as Buffalo Trace, Fireball, Southern Comfort, Corazon, Wheatley, Seagram's, Canadian Mist, along with a range of whiskey, rum, vodka, gin, brandy, cognac, and tequila selections. This focus on quality products and service excellence has helped Andrews maintain a competitive edge and strong market presence.
The company offers a full-time position as a Route Driver / Swing Driver (Delivery Driver), playing a pivotal role in the Operations - Delivery team. This role is more than just making deliveries — it requires a dedication to customer service, a commitment to safety standards, and the ability to effectively manage routes while representing the Andrews brand to its valued customers. The schedule involves working from Tuesday through Friday starting at 6:00 am until the work is completed, ensuring every delivery is handled with care and efficiency. The starting wage for this position is $23.25 per hour, with employees benefiting from weekly paychecks delivered every Friday.
In this role, the Route Driver / Swing Driver is responsible for safely operating company vehicles and equipment following all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policies. Duties include delivering beer and spirits products to both on-premise and off-premise accounts, loading and unloading product efficiently, stocking all retail displays, and maintaining inventory accuracy and proper rotation to ensure product quality. Additionally, drivers are expected to maintain their vehicles in excellent condition, perform daily pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, handle customer transactions, and provide superior service that meets or exceeds customer expectations.
Furthermore, this position involves leading and managing a Delivery Assistant to guarantee smooth operations and high standards of customer service. Drivers collaborate with sales teams to support customer relationships and communicate any issues or opportunities that arise during the delivery process. Andrews places high importance on safety, quality standards, and adherence to all regulatory guidelines, including OSHA, TABC, and company-specific policies.
Employees at Andrews enjoy comprehensive benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, paid vacation and sick time, a 401(k) plan with company match (offering free money toward retirement), and uniforms branded by Nike™. A unique perk is a continuous supply of free beer throughout the year (including non-alcoholic options like root beer for employees under 21), emphasizing the company’s culture and connection to the beverage industry.
This position is physically demanding and requires the ability to handle heavy lifting (up to 165 lbs in some cases), operate pallet jacks, dollys, and commercial trucks safely, and work in various weather conditions. Candidates should be comfortable with the physical nature of the role and maintain a high level of alertness and attention to detail. Successful candidates typically hold a Class A CDL license and have previous commercial driving experience, with a preference for those with distribution, beer industry, or sales experience.
Andrews Distributing Company prides itself on integrity, respect, and dignity for all team members and aims to foster a workplace where each individual can thrive. This opportunity is more than just a job; it offers a chance to build a career with a supportive company committed to your professional growth and work-life balance. If you are looking for a career in the beer and spirits distribution industry with a top-rated employer recognized for its workplace culture and employee benefits, Andrews Distributing could be the perfect fit.
