Job Description

McKesson is a leading healthcare company with a strong reputation for delivering medical supplies and equipment essential to the health sector. Serving healthcare professionals and facilities across the country, McKesson plays a critical role in ensuring timely and efficient delivery of products that impact patient care and operational success. The Uxbridge, MA location seeks to expand its dedicated transportation team by hiring a full-time Driver Associate who thrives in a dynamic and motivated work environment. This position is an excellent opportunity to join a stable company that values employee development, work-life balance, and health and wellness benefits.

The available position is a Full-Time Set Up Driver Professional role based initially in Northborough, MA, with a planned transition to the Uxbridge, MA facility in the coming months. Candidates must be comfortable commuting to both locations during the transition period, ensuring continuity of service while the move is finalized. The scheduled work hours for this position typically run Monday through Friday from 5 AM until the completion of duties, averaging a 40-hour workweek. This consistent schedule allows for employees to have their evenings at home, supporting a healthy work-life balance.

As a Driver Associate, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of medical supplies and equipment to healthcare providers and facilities. Your role will be vital in supporting patient care by setting up medical equipment upon delivery, which distinguishes this position from traditional driver roles. This requires physical strength and the ability to lift and handle equipment independently, emphasizing the importance of both safety and customer service skills.

McKesson offers competitive compensation with a pay rate of $25.66 per hour, complemented by a transportation bonus incentive that provides the opportunity to earn additional income every four weeks. The company also provides a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan, paid time off including holidays and flexible days, an employee stock purchase program, and educational assistance. Furthermore, McKesson encourages wellness through programs like the Vitality Wellness program that rewards employees for maintaining an active lifestyle.

The company is committed to ongoing employee training and development, offering support for specialized processes and positions such as the Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) certification. This commitment ensures that employees can grow their skills while enjoying a supportive and inclusive workplace culture. McKesson values diversity and is committed to equal employment opportunity, welcoming applicants regardless of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or veteran status. The company also provides reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities throughout the application and employment process.

Joining McKesson means becoming part of a transportation team that is professional, supportive, and dedicated to excellence. This role offers the satisfaction of making a meaningful difference in healthcare logistics while enjoying a stable career with extensive benefits and opportunities for personal and professional growth.
