Job Description

DME Express is a rapidly growing medical supply company that specializes in delivering high-quality medical equipment to hospice patients. The company focuses on providing essential equipment such as wheelchairs, hospital beds, and oxygen to those in need, ensuring that patients and their families receive excellent service and support. DME Express has built a strong reputation for its commitment to service excellence, passion, and an uncompromising desire to serve the hospice industry with dedication and care. The company’s growth is fueled by its shared values and its mission to make a positive impact in the lives of hospice patients through timely equipment delivery and outstanding customer service.

The role of Delivery Driver/Technician at DME Express is a vital position responsible for the safe and efficient delivery and pickup of medical equipment. This position involves determining the best daily routes, assembling and delivering equipment, and educating patients and their families on the proper use of these devices. The delivery driver also ensures strict adherence to Department of Transportation (DOT) and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations related to oxygen and durable medical equipment (DME). Maintaining cleanliness and stock levels in the warehouse and delivery vehicle is a key responsibility alongside providing orientation and instructions to patients on equipment usage.

Working as a delivery driver/technician at DME Express offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and fast-growing organization that values teamwork, professionalism, and customer care. The company provides comprehensive training for those without prior experience, emphasizing the development of skills necessary to perform equipment assembly, minor repairs, and preventive vehicle maintenance. The role demands excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a patient-centered approach to problem solving while representing the company in a professional manner.

DME Express operates 24/7, requiring delivery drivers to work on a scheduled rotating basis, including weekends and occasional on-call shifts. The role requires physical strength to lift up to 75 pounds regularly and maintain a neat personal appearance while promoting a collaborative work environment among colleagues. Candidates will have access to a company vehicle and a cell phone for work purposes, and the vehicle is permitted to be taken home with the technician.

The compensation for this delivery driver position ranges from $17 to $18 hourly based on experience. The company offers a competitive salary along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401k plan, paid time off, and other employee perks. DME Express also maintains strict COVID-19 safety precautions by providing personal protective equipment, conducting temperature screenings, enforcing social distancing guidelines, and sanitizing equipment and vehicles regularly.

Overall, this is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are committed to delivering high standards of service and have a strong work ethic. If you aspire to work for a company with tremendous growth and a meaningful mission that directly impacts patients’ quality of life, DME Express invites you to apply and become part of their dedicated team.
