Job Description
The Nutrition Group is a reputable full-service food and facilities management company that has been successfully operating since its establishment in 1975. With nearly five decades of experience, The Nutrition Group has positioned itself as a trusted partner in providing comprehensive support services, including K-12 meal services, commissary operations, custodial and maintenance management, business and industry services, and consulting. Currently, the company maintains a strong presence across several states, operating in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, South Carolina, and Virginia, and it continues to expand its footprint while maintaining close relationships with its clients, customers, employees, and vendors. The Nutrition Group prides itself on its people-oriented approach, fostering long-term partnerships and a supportive work environment that values every individual’s contribution to its success.
This particular role is an opportunity to join The Nutrition Group as a Delivery Driver within a local K-12 school district. This position offers a well-balanced work schedule with daylight hours from Monday to Friday, no evenings, weekends, or holiday work assignments, ensuring a healthy work-life balance for its employees. The employment type is full-time, with accompanying benefits such as paid time off (PTO) and a 401(k) retirement savings plan.
The Delivery Driver plays a vital role in maintaining the seamless operation of the school district's cafeteria services by ensuring timely and efficient delivery of food and cafeteria products to all cafeterias within the district. The role involves handling cash and making daily deposits at approved bank branches, which requires responsibility and attention to detail. Additionally, the driver is responsible for organizing the stockroom, cooler, and freezer spaces, assisting with putting away orders, and ensuring that all items are stored correctly according to established guidelines. The position demands an individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills who can work effectively with various stakeholders within the school district and The Nutrition Group’s team.
Safety and compliance are paramount in this role; hence the need for a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and the ability to pass criminal background checks and obtain necessary clearances. Physical demands include the ability to lift up to 40 pounds, ensuring that the individual can handle deliveries and stock items efficiently. Overall, this role offers a stable and rewarding career path for individuals seeking a work environment that respects their time and offers opportunities for personal and professional growth within the food service management industry.
