Job Requirements
- At least 19 years old for car or scooter delivery
- At least 18 years old for bicycle or foot delivery
- Valid driver’s license for car and scooter delivery
- Motorized scooter under 50cc for scooter delivery
- Two-door or four-door car for car delivery
- Government-issued ID for bicycle or foot delivery
- Must pass a background screening with Social Security number
- Smartphone capable of running the Uber app
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous driving or delivery experience beneficial but not required
- Familiarity with Chula Vista and local roads
- Ability to use smartphone technology for GPS and app management
- Strong time management and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and adhere to schedules
- Good communication skills
Job Duties
- Deliver food and other items promptly and safely
- Maintain professional and courteous interactions with customers and restaurant partners
- Navigate efficiently through Chula Vista and surrounding areas
- Use the Uber app to receive and manage delivery requests
- Ensure compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Provide excellent customer service and resolve delivery issues
- Handle orders accurately and maintain food quality during delivery
