Job Description

American Tire Distributors (ATD) is a leading distributor in the tire industry, dedicated to providing a wide range of high-quality tires and automotive products to customers across diverse markets. As one of the largest tire distributors in the United States, ATD prides itself on delivering exceptional value through its expansive product offerings, operational efficiency, and customer-centric service. The company fosters a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement, aiming to be the preferred partner for both customers and suppliers in the automotive sector. Employing thousands of professionals nationwide, ATD is committed to creating a supportive work environment that embraces diversity, teamwork, and personal growth.

The Delivery Driver (non-CDL) role at American Tire Distributors is a crucial position focused on ensuring timely and professional delivery of products to customers. This role demands not only reliable transportation skills but also a strong commitment to customer satisfaction through courteous and professional interactions. The driver is responsible for safe and efficient transportation of products from origin points to various customer locations, including the unloading and staging of products upon delivery. Beyond transportation, this role emphasizes maintaining company reputation through responsible driving practices, adherence to safety policies, and excellent customer service.

Delivery drivers at ATD often serve as the face of the company in the field, making their role vital in building and maintaining lasting customer relationships. The job requires a keen eye for detail in verifying product accuracy, preparing and managing all delivery documentation, and occasionally operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks. Adherence to company safety policies and compliance with state and federal regulations are mandatory, reflecting ATD's commitment to maintaining high operational standards.

This role is suited for motivated individuals who possess strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to challenges. The position requires physical stamina due to occasional lifting and handling of products, sometimes weighing up to 50 pounds or more with team assistance. Drivers typically spend a significant portion of their day on the road and at customer sites, necessitating excellent time management and organizational skills.

Working at American Tire Distributors offers an opportunity to join a company that values its employees as integral parts of its success while providing opportunities for career advancement in a dynamic and supportive environment. The company champions a safe and drug-free workplace and promotes equal employment opportunities for all individuals, underlining its commitment to ethical and inclusive business practices. Those joining ATD can expect to be part of a team that values dedication, professionalism, and innovation while contributing to a thriving industry sector.
