The Pella Urbandale location is currently seeking an experienced Delivery Driver to serve the Des Moines area. This full-time role requires reporting to the Urbandale warehouse Monday through Friday at 6 AM. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for loading Pella’s products, driving assigned routes to customer jobsites or other predetermined locations, and unloading the products while ensuring they meet customer expectations. Given the size and weight of Pella’s windows and doors, this position requires the ability to regularly lift up to 100 pounds. Your role will also involve making visual quality inspections, collecting payments on COD orders, maintaining vehicle safety, and adhering to the company’s fleet safety policies, including holding a valid commercial driver’s license.

Job Requirements
- Valid commercial driver's license
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds regularly
- Ability to perform visual quality inspections
- Ability to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear
- Ability to occasionally sit, stoop or crouch
- Ability to adjust focus and maintain close, distance, color, peripheral vision and depth perception
- Ability to drive delivery vehicle safely in all conditions
- Knowledge of company safety protocols and adherence to safety apparel requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to follow company Fleet Safety Policy
- Availability to work Monday through Friday starting at 6 AM
Job Qualifications
- Familiarity with computers preferred

- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations including subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages and measurements
Job Duties
- Drives truck loaded with Pella products to customer jobsite or other predetermined location, occasionally picks-up return products
- Loads and unloads trucks per delivery paperwork
- Works in a way that protects the product from damage during the delivery process
- Performs visual quality inspections on product while loading and unloading
- Collects money from customers on COD orders and issues a customer receipt
- Notifies manager or coworkers of shortages, discrepancies or anticipated needs
- Obtains customer signature as a verification of delivery or pick-up
- Develop continuous improvement suggestions
- Ensure vehicle is operated in safe manner at all times, in all conditions
- Reports maintenance needs on delivery vehicles
- Maintains DOT log book
- Meets company safety requirements by keeping work area neat and clean, following safety precautions and wearing required safety apparel
- Must have a valid commercial driver's license and be in compliance with the company Fleet Safety Policy
