Job Description

The hiring establishment is a healthcare facility dedicated to providing safe and reliable transportation services for patients requiring travel between their homes and hospital locations. This organization prioritizes patient care and safety, ensuring that all transportation adheres to strict operational protocols and regulations. Operating within the medical transport sector, the company supports the broader healthcare system by facilitating patient access to essential medical services in a timely and respectful manner. The role offered is a patient transport position involving the responsibility of transporting patients safely while maintaining compliance with hospital policies and safety procedures. The employment is full-time, and the position is critical in upholding the quality of care the healthcare facility promises to its patients.

As a patient transport professional, you will be an integral part of the healthcare team, managing transportation logistics with a focus on patient dignity, comfort, and security. Your duties will include adhering to daily dispatcher schedules for patient pickups and drop-offs, ensuring that all activities follow established driving policies and road safety rules. This position requires interaction with patients of various backgrounds, ages, and medical conditions, thus necessitating excellent communication and customer service skills. Furthermore, you will be tasked with maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the vehicle environment, following infection control and HIPAA privacy protocols, and documenting transportation activities accurately. You will also be responsible for notifying dispatch about any delays or issues encountered during routes and reporting any changes in patient conditions. Additionally, you will perform routine clerical duties required to support the transportation department. This role also demands physical capabilities such as the ability to assist patients physically and to handle certain lifting tasks when necessary.
