This part-time position at Sherwin-Williams Store #707704, located at 504 S Timberland Dr, Lufkin, TX 75901, is designed to support both retail and wholesale customers by understanding their unique needs and recommending the right products and solutions. As a Sales and Delivery Associate, you will play a vital role in ensuring excellent customer service and timely delivery within the local market. This role involves direct interaction with customers both in-person and over the phone, assisting them with product selections, sales transactions, and providing expert advice on Sherwin-Williams’ extensive product offerings.

Your responsibilities will include processing sales accurately, achieving sales targets, maintaining product knowledge, and managing inventory including tinting and mixing paint products to meet customer specifications. In addition, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of products using company vehicles, maintaining vehicle condition, adhering to delivery schedules, and complying with traffic and safety regulations. This hands-on role requires physical stamina to retrieve merchandise and load/unload items, ensuring customer satisfaction at every touchpoint.

Job Requirements

Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age
Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
Must have a valid, unrestricted driver's license
Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion
Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation
If internal to Sherwin-Williams, must have received at least a "meets expectations" (3) rating on the most recent performance appraisal
If internal to Sherwin-Williams, must have completed all HR Cloud eLearning courses required for the current position.

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
Assist customers in person and over the phone by determining needs and presenting appropriate products and services
Process sales transactions accurately and consistent with policies and procedures
Follow and achieve sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis
Maintain precise work order files and formulas
Pull appropriate products from the sales floor or warehouse
Tint and mix products, as needed, to customer specifications
Load, transport, and deliver items to customers in a safe, timely manner
Assist with loading and unloading items from vehicles
Maintain the store vehicle and alert the supervisor to repair and servicing needs
Adhere to assigned routes and follow time schedules
Comply with all laws, traffic regulations, safety procedures, etc., when driving a vehicle
Prepare reports and other documents relating to deliveries
Operate equipment and machines, such as cars, trucks, forklifts, etc.
