Job Description

Currently, US FOODS is seeking CDL A Delivery Truck Drivers to join their transportation team. This role is critical as drivers represent the face of the company, delivering products such as meats, produce, frozen goods, groceries, dry goods, equipment, and supplies directly to customers. The position involves working local routes with a schedule from Monday to Saturday, starting between midnight and 6 a.m. Drivers are guaranteed to be home every night due to the local nature of the routes. Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- must have valid CDL Class A with necessary endorsements
- valid U.S. driver’s license
- no more than two traffic convictions in past two years
- no DUI convictions in past three years
- no driver’s license suspensions in past three years
- minimum six months commercial driving experience or three months food and beverage delivery experience
- ability to pass DOT physical
Job Qualifications
- Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
- minimum of six months of commercial driving experience or three months in food and beverage delivery
- valid U.S. driver’s license with proper endorsements
- high school diploma or GED preferred
- strong customer service skills
- ability to work early morning shifts
- ability to pass DOT physical
Job Duties
- Deliver best-in-class customer service
- deliver customers’ orders to meet scheduled delivery times and maintain productivity
- unload products with a hand truck and place items in customer storage areas
- perform repeated manual heavy lifting of items up to 80 pounds
- make frequent stops during a work shift
- deliver product in inclement weather conditions
- verify delivery of items with customers
