The role of a US Foods driver is a vital part of the company’s operations, directly impacting customer satisfaction and order accuracy. Drivers are responsible for safely delivering products to customers according to established schedules, handling product unloading with care, verifying deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer relations. The position requires physical stamina due to lifting and manual tasks, as well as the ability to operate commercial vehicles under varying weather conditions and routes.
Employment for this role follows a Monday through Saturday split schedule with dispatch times between early morning hours, specific to the Ontario location. There is a requirement to work limited Sundays annually, reflecting business needs. Drivers may also be called upon to cover additional layover routes. Compensation for this role ranges between 30.00 and 38.10 dollars per hour depending on experience and skill level, with paid overtime. Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
- Minimum of six months commercial driving experience or three months in food and beverage delivery industry
- Ability to operate manual transmission preferred
- Ability to read and communicate in English
- Registered to the FMCSA Clearinghouse
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 20-80 plus pounds repetitively
- Comfortable driving in inclement weather with frequent stops
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Safely drive trucks to customers and meet scheduled delivery times
- Carefully unload products from the trailer using a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand and place products in designated customer storage areas
- Verify delivery accuracy with customers and obtain signatures as required
- Handle collections and payments when applicable
- Professionally perform customer service responsibilities to enhance the customer experience
- Perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections
