Currently, DPI Staffing is seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver to work with one of its reputable family-owned clients in the Portland metro area. This position involves operating a 22 to 26-foot box truck to deliver heavy restaurant equipment to various customer locations. The Delivery Driver role is full-time, starting at $22.00 per hour, with work hours scheduled Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, including occasional overtime. The role is a temp-to-hire opportunity, allowing the right candidate to transition into a permanent position.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience driving box trucks of this size and take pride in safe driving practices. The role demands physical stamina for loading and unloading heavy equipment using appropriate techniques and tools, as well as exceptional customer service skills to maintain positive interactions with clients during deliveries. Additionally, the driver will be responsible for planning efficient delivery routes to ensure punctuality, accurately completing delivery paperwork, and conducting daily vehicle inspections to report any maintenance needs promptly. A safety-first mindset is essential, with adherence to company safety protocols and traffic laws at all times.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys an active workday, values reliability, and is committed to upholding high standards of customer satisfaction. Experience with route driving and GPS navigation is preferred, along with forklift skills and strong organizational capabilities. Candidates must pass a drug screening and background check and must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
