The Nuclear Pharmacy Driver role is crucial in ensuring the safe, timely, and efficient delivery of radiopharmaceutical products to customer accounts. This role requires a reliable candidate to operate company vehicles, manage packaging, testing, and shipping of sensitive medical materials, and collaborate closely with teams to maintain high standards of safety, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction.

The typical work schedule for this position involves 40 hours per week, usually from Sunday through Thursday, working night shifts from 8:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m., with flexibility required to accommodate different days, hours, or schedules based on business needs. The driver will be responsible for preparing and making deliveries along assigned routes, properly packaging radiopharmaceutical medications, performing testing and loading/unloading duties according to strict safety protocols and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. The role also includes the use of technology such as handheld tablets for scanning orders and route navigation, contributing to streamlined and accurate delivery processes.

Candidates must demonstrate the ability to maintain vehicles in proper working condition, perform minor roadside repairs when necessary, and contribute to general facility cleaning and organizational upkeep. This role necessitates a strong understanding of technical systems supporting product delivery, including technology-assisted packaging systems and route optimization tools. Employees must also actively participate in required training programs covering areas such as biohazard waste handling, radiation safety, contamination testing, HIPAA compliance, ergonomic safety, and safe driving procedures.

The position demands physical capabilities, including the ability to lift heavy containers up to 75 pounds, comfort with driving in various weather conditions both day and night, and sufficient stamina to sit, stand, and remain mobile for prolonged periods. The compensation for the Nuclear Pharmacy Driver position is $17.50 per hour, supplemented by a $1,000 new hire sign-on bonus.
