The Delivery Driver role at the Culinary Academy of Las Vegas is an essential position that supports the timely and accurate delivery of culinary products and supplies. This role involves operating light vehicles such as box trucks or vans to deliver products to clients, pick up items from vendors, off-campus venues, and other Academy operations. The driver is responsible for ensuring that all deliveries are accurate, complete, and made within the specified time frames. In addition to driving and delivering, the role requires interaction with clients to address special requests and verify order details, highlighting the importance of excellent customer service skills. The position entails maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of vehicles, completing daily vehicle inspections, and reporting any mechanical issues promptly. The Delivery Driver also assists the culinary staff during downtime, supporting overall food and beverage operations to ensure seamless service delivery.

This role demands strict adherence to traffic laws and company transportation policies while demonstrating reliability, organization, and attention to detail. The Delivery Driver must be able to read maps and follow written or verbal geographic instructions efficiently. Given the Academy’s commitment to safety and quality, the Delivery Driver's role in vehicle maintenance and consistent communication with the manager on duty regarding any delays, accidents, or vehicle issues is critical. Job Duties

  • complete daily checklist when signing out company vehicles
  • obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures
  • inspect vehicles daily to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition
  • complete vehicle inspection report daily
  • report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles
  • load and unload trucks, vans, or automobiles safely
  • ensure all orders are complete and correct as stated on event orders and verify all orders by the manager on duty
