The company is currently seeking a skilled Delivery Driver to join their dynamic team. This role is critical to maintaining the smooth operation of delivery and logistics, ensuring that goods and equipment are transported safely and delivered on time to meet customer expectations. The Delivery Driver position involves a blend of operational tasks, including the loading and unloading of products, navigating delivery routes efficiently using GPS or maps, and maintaining consistent communication with dispatch and supervisory staff. Besides logistical duties, the role requires the driver to interact courteously and professionally with customers during deliveries, reinforcing the company’s commitment to excellent customer service.

The position demands strict adherence to all traffic laws and safety regulations, including the Department of Transportation (DOT) mandates. Drivers will conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of their vehicles, promptly addressing any maintenance or safety issues to ensure operational safety and compliance. The job requires a Class A commercial driver’s license (CDL), as drivers will operate vehicles that exceed 26,000 pounds gross vehicle weight rating and may tow trailers over 10,000 pounds. A clean driving record free from major violations such as DUI or reckless driving is essential.

Additionally, physical stamina is vital as the role involves occasionally lifting heavy items, sometimes up to or exceeding 50 pounds, to load and unload freight securely. Drivers must be prepared for exposure to various weather conditions and the necessity of some overnight travel, which may account for up to 15% of the job. Time management skills, attention to detail for record-keeping such as maintaining accurate driver logs, and the ability to work under minimal supervision are key competencies for success in this role.
