The company is committed to fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment where innovation and teamwork drive success. Staples presents a unique blend of advanced technology and human-centered service to create efficient solutions for customers, communities, and employees.
The Delivery Driver role at Staples is a vital position within the company’s Supply Chain team. This full-time role operates Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, where the driver is responsible for transporting office supplies and other products safely and efficiently to customers along assigned routes. By acting as the company’s brand on wheels, the Delivery Driver is essential in enhancing the customer experience and ensuring prompt deliveries. This position involves not only driving but also occasionally loading the truck, maintaining vehicle cleanliness, performing vehicle inspections, and reporting maintenance concerns. Safety is the highest priority in this role, with an emphasis on following safe work practices and fostering Staples’ safety culture.
The Delivery Driver also serves as a customer service ambassador, solving problems on the spot, managing product returns, and contributing positively to customer relations. This role requires an individual who can navigate effectively using GPS and Proof of Delivery technology while demonstrating courteous and professional interactions with customers and colleagues. Staples values drivers who can operate the vehicle responsibly across diverse weather conditions and road situations and who have the ability to make sound decisions ranging from driving and parking to customer communications. As a member of a dynamic team, the Delivery Driver helps Staples maintain industry-leading distribution and fulfillment processes, contributing to the company’s mission to deliver state-of-the-art service and products to customers.
The compensation for this role is competitive, ranging from $25.90 to $28.15 per hour, based on experience, coupled with opportunities for additional earnings through a Safety Program. Staples supports its team members with benefits including paid time off, holiday schedules, health and wellness programs, company 401(k) matching, and retail discounts. The role also promotes an inclusive culture through associate-led Business Resource Groups, fostering community and support for all employees. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a safe driving history, customer-focused mindset, and a commitment to safety to join a respected leader in office product distribution and logistics. Staples is an Equal Opportunity Employer, dedicated to creating accessible opportunities for qualified candidates regardless of background.
