The Driver role is an essential position within the Glazing Saddles team, acting as the face of Krispy Kreme in direct interactions with wholesale customers and retail outlets. This position is responsible for the timely, accurate delivery of doughnuts to maintain the freshness and quality promised by Krispy Kreme. Beyond delivery, the Driver manages each account’s products and displays, ensures proper collection of payments for cash-on-delivery accounts, and provides exceptional customer service. This role requires a professional appearance and demeanor, reflecting the brand’s standards in every customer interaction. Drivers are entrusted not only with product transportation but also with maintaining delivery vehicle organization, assisting with equipment upkeep, and conforming to all food safety standards such as HACCP plans.

Glazing Saddles equips its Drivers with a designated uniform including a cap, polo shirt, name tag, and apron, which must be maintained clean and neat. The role demands physical skills like safe vehicle operation, operation of pallet jacks and hand trucks, as well as the ability to lift and move products up to 50 pounds and push/pull carts weighing up to 250 pounds. Additionally, Drivers are responsible for collecting cash payments securely and completing end-of-day settlement procedures with their Manager. Communication of any delivery or route challenges to management is crucial for continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
