The role offered is for a dedicated Warehouse Delivery Driver who plays an essential part in warehouse operations and customer service delivery. This position involves transport duties, loading and unloading of deliveries, and maintaining vehicle safety standards under all conditions. The Warehouse Delivery Driver will be responsible for transporting materials over designated routes, ensuring all orders are accurately loaded and secured based on shipping documentation, and making timely, courteous deliveries to various customer sites. Additionally, this position requires conducting detailed daily vehicle inspections to guarantee safety and operational efficiency.

This position is safety-sensitive, requiring constant awareness and adherence to safety protocols during all work activities. Candidates must be prepared to undergo a pre-employment drug test, compliant with Department of Health and Human Services and Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration standards, ensuring a drug-free work environment. The role demands physical readiness to engage in activities including lifting up to 75 pounds, frequent driving in various weather conditions, and possibly working around moving machinery and excessive noise. Applicants will also undergo a Department of Transportation physical exam to meet medical qualification standards.

Ideal candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, complemented by at least one year of recent commercial driving experience with vehicles of significant weight. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Valid driver’s license in state of residence with 3 years driving history
  • Acceptable motor vehicle record with no type A violation or no more than one type B violation in past three years
  • Minimum of 1 year driving experience operating commercial motor vehicles with GVWR of 10,001 lbs or more preferred
  • Ability to read, comprehend, write, perform calculations, input accurately, reason, and analyze
  • Ability to function independently with close attention to detail
  • Physically able to perform frequent driving in various weather conditions
  • Must adhere to proper safety regulations
  • Frequent physical activity including walking, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and reaching
  • Regular handling and lifting of up to 75 pounds
  • Medical qualification to operate a motor vehicle as defined by Sec. 391.41
  • Ability to pass Department of Transportation physical exam
  • Successful pre-employment drug screening compliant with USDHHS and SAMHSA guidelines
  • No acceptance of medical marijuana as medical explanation under state law for positive drug test

Job Duties

  • Support warehouse operations by transporting materials over designated routes
  • Ensure safe operation of vehicles
  • Provide excellent customer service by making prompt and courteous deliveries of orders
  • Verify that material loaded on the truck matches the Ship Ticket and Delivery Manifest and secure it for safe transport
  • Unload materials for customers at each delivery location in an orderly fashion while verifying correctness
  • Perform daily detailed inspection of vehicle to ensure general maintenance and safety
  • Manage all aspects of warehouse functions including receiving, storing, handling, shipping and preparing products for delivery
  • Maintain the warehouse in an orderly and safe condition
