This particular role focuses on delivery and warehouse activities, which are critical to ensuring customers receive their purchased products promptly and in excellent condition. The person hired will be responsible for driving delivery trucks within assigned zones to transport merchandise safely to customer homes or businesses. Key responsibilities include loading and unloading trucks, setting up merchandise at delivery locations, obtaining customer signatures, and maintaining accurate delivery records. The role requires adherence to strict safety regulations, including monitoring vehicle maintenance and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements. The successful candidate will perform tasks involving physical exertion, such as lifting heavy items and managing warehouse inventory. Job Requirements

high school diploma or GED
six months experience in a distribution or warehouse environment
valid state drivers license
general familiarity with the delivery area
ability to meet DOT requirements including medical examiners certification and driver's DOT qualification file
ability to exert heavy physical effort including lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling objects up to 100 pounds and occasionally heavier
ability to perceive and discriminate colors or shades of colors, sounds, depth, and visual cues
ability to communicate orally
ability to work in adverse environmental conditions such as dirt, dust, temperature extremes, electric currents, or toxic agents
willingness to perform customer service and collection calls

Job Qualifications

high school diploma or GED
six months experience in a distribution or warehouse environment

general familiarity with the delivery area

Job Duties

drive truck in assigned zone or area to deliver products purchased by customer
ensure safe operations of vehicles by assisting delivery truck drivers with directing trucks into unloading areas
load truck in preparation for daily deliveries
unload merchandise at customer location and set up as necessary
obtain customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery
record deliveries on delivery record and submit to appropriate management
monitor proper maintenance and regular inspection of vehicles for adherence to safety practices
perform general maintenance of vehicles
record fuel and fluid usage and submit to management
unload merchandise from warehouse and freight trucks
maintain cleanliness of store and warehouse interior and grounds
uphold the company’s delivery standards
place stock on shelves or racks and set up merchandise and sales promotion displays
assemble merchandise as required
assist with repossessions of goods
perform general maintenance and grounds keeping duties for warehouse and/or store
perform customer service inspections and/or repairs as needed
perform collection field calls to delinquent customers at the request of management
uphold and promote H.O.M.E. values
